Post: Split site primary

Posted by Allie on 6/25/08

Does anyone work in a split site primary school where
reception alone is on one site and the rest of the school
on another? My local school currently has 2 sites, one
smaller than the other but providing R/1/2, and the
proposal is to have all reception children (40)to the
smaller site ( 2.5 miles from the other)and then move them
all up to the main site in year 1. If anyone has experience
of this I would be grateful for your views on what has
worked well and badly. There is not universal support for
this move, but it seems likely to go ahead.
